I am a mobile hospice veterinarian specializing in compassionate in-home pet euthanasia. I am available for phone or zoom consultations anytime to help you navigate the difficult end-of-life decisions for your pet. I also schedule in-home assessments of your pet and consult in person to discuss any hospice needs or assist in decision making.

AVAILABILITY

When available, same day appointments. A prompt response is always my goal. I will return evening phone calls the following morning. Most times, evening text and emails are easier for me to respond.

Consultation

I am available virtually or to visit your home to assess your pet and discuss any pain management, nutrition, environmental changes, or fluid management that may bring your pet some comfort in their last days and months.

Virtual Visit: $50 (+ tax in Kentucky)

In-Home Visit: $100 (+ tax in Kentucky)

In-Home Euthanasia

Your pet will remain with you for private burial or your own arrangements for

cremation. Please check your local ordinances for considerations prior to burial.

In-Home Euthanasia with Communal Cremation

I will lovingly transport your pet to our local crematorium. Your pet will be cremated with other pets and their combined ashes respectfully scattered on a family-owned farm north of Louisville.

$400 (+ tax in Kentucky)

In-Home Euthanasia with Private Cremation

I will lovingly transport your pet to our local crematorium. With this selection, your pet is placed into the cremation chamber with no others. Your pets’ individual ashes will then rest in a lovely carved wooden urn and can be delivered to your home or picked up at Borden Pet Crematory and Memorial Center. Additional urn and jewelry options are available or there will be a catalog available at the visit.

$500 pets under 25 lbs (+ tax in Kentucky)

$540 pets 25-99 lbs (+ tax in Kentucky)

$575 pets 100 lbs and over (+ tax in Kentucky)

**Dr. LeMay would need assistant lifting large pets to her vehicle after the visit. If you are unable to assistance, arrangements will need to be made for onsite help. If you prefer, Dr. LeMay can arrange pick-up service during regular weekday hours by Borden Pet Crematory. This pick-up service $125.

In-Home Euthanasia with Semi-Private Cremation

With this selection, your pet is one of two during the cremation. The smallest pet is placed into a stainless-steel cremation pan, which is designed to keep the pets separate from one another. This process ensures that your pets ashes are yours and saves energy. This option is limited to pets 25 pounds and under.

$480 (+ tax in Kentucky)

Pick-Up & Transport deceased pet

In the instance your pet passes on their own, Dr. LeMay may be able to assist with picking up your pet and transporting for cremation services. Please call for details and availability. Prices vary.

PAYMENT

Arrangements will be made prior to my arrival. I accept checks, cash, and most credit cards. Please call for fees as this varies by the size of the pet and the distance I am required to travel. If necessary, payment arrangements can be made.

KEEPSAKES

For those families that enjoy keepsakes, I offer a clay paw print with your pet’s name and date. Some families also like to keep a lock of hair which I would be happy to help with. In addition, I welcome any pictures and stories of your pet to place on my website tribute page or to my Facebook page. There are multiple options for urns, cremation jewelry, markers for your garden/burial site, frames, etc. that I am happy to discuss further with you.
